More than 3.5 million analyses are performed each year. Samples can be submitted not only from countries within the European Union, but also from third countries. For submitting samples of animal by-products and pathogens from third countries an import permit is needed. This permit is provided to GD Animal Health by the Dutch Government and allows us to receive samples for all animal species. |

The increasing clinical and economic relevance of Mycoplasma synoviae (Ms) prompted the Dutch poultry industry to launch a control and eradication programme for this mycoplasma species in 2013. GD Animal Health has developed a differentiating Ms PCR which can distinguish Ms field strains from vaccine strain MS-H (GD product number W1434). |
