Application deadline PhD Council - 16 November
The Amsterdam Business Research Institute is currently seeking new members for its PhD Council.

ABRI is currently seeking 5 members, preferably from the different SBE faculties. For more information about the vacancy please click here.

Part-time PhD Information Sessions - 19 November

Enrolment of the 2020 cohort of the Part-time (Executive) PhD programme is now open. Prospective participants are invited to apply.

To get more information about the programme and to discuss potential research topics, prospective PhD candidates are welcome to attend the information session on November 19 which will be held from 18:00 till 19:30 in room Forum 3. For more information pleae click here.

Nomination Sergey Gorbatov Thinkers50
Sergey Gorbatov, member of the VU Center for Feedback Culture, is nominated for the Thinkers50 Marshall Goldsmith Distinguished Award for Coaching. This prize is given to individuals who advance the field of coaching and leadership development. Sergey's nomination highlights the pivotal role that feedback and feedback culture play in modern organizations.
Colloquium 9 December
The VU center for Boards and Executive Leadership Development has the pleasure to invite boards and executive leadership scholars and PhD students to the second PhD colloquium on Monday, 9 December (13:00 – 18:30) at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.

During this event the center welcomes academics, PhD candidates, and executives from different disciplines who are interested in presenting scholarly research on the topics of board and executive leadership development, and to share ideas or work in progress on relevant matters with fellow scholars, faculty members and other PhD students.
The purpose of this event is to strengthen our multidisciplinary research community and create knowledge that can help top management teams and boards to develop and to better lead contemporary organisations. The center is interested in building new interdisciplinary board and leadership theories on consciousness, sensemaking, the unsaid, the unknown, emotional trends, board and executive climates, information-processing and faultlines, as well as development and learning. Finally, the center is also interested in qualitative, process-based, and reflexive research methodologies.
