| The topic of the this year symposium was "Meaningful Work and Sustainability: How can Meaningful Work Contribute to Sustainable Ways of Doing Business”. The first day of the symposium focused on academic programme, including a panel session with the experts on the topic – Prof. Dr Marjolein Lips-Wiersma. (Auckland University of Technology, NZ) and Prof. dr.Jean-Pascal Gond (Cass Business School, UK). The second day was focused on stimulating a conversation on the topic between academics and practitioners. The day co-sponsored by Resilians and Food for Flow gathered representatives of diverse companies, including Shell, PON, and Reaal. |

| Meindert Flikkema Appointed Chairman Central Exams Business Administration A Level |
| Econometrist Meindert Flikkema has been appointed as from 1 August 2018 as the chairman of the Central Examinations Business Administration A level (HAVO and VWO) at the College of Examinations (CvTE) in Utrecht. |

The CvTE supervises the quality of the Central Examinations that are made by the CITO in collaboration with specialist teachers.
Meindert Flikkema is assistent professor at the M&O department and associate professor at the SBE Center for Executive Education. |

| Dung Nguyen successfully defended his thesis |
On 28 June Dung Nguyen successfully defended his thesis titled "Order Fulfilment and Consumer Behaviour in Online Retailing".
|

|
| Dung Hoang Nguyen obtained a Master of Science in Transport and Maritime Economics at the University of Antwerp in 2011. He is also a lecturer at the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City). Next to academia, he worked for several companies such as Vietnam Airlines, APL Logistics, and OOCL Logistics in positions related to operations and logistics for more than 12 years. |
