On Feb. 15, Apple announced support for subscriptions through iTunes for all kinds of content publishers. WoodWing has announced immediate support for these subscriptions in our iPad Reader App. A number of renowned publishers have already launched their updated apps to make use of this new business opportunity. WoodWing is taking another big leap forward with the new Multi-Screen functionality offered by its Tablet Publishing Solution. During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, taking place from February 14-17, Time Inc. demonstrated Sports Illustrated on Android 3.0 using WoodWing’s native Android App optimized for the upcoming Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) release. The content for the App has been created with WoodWing’s Tablet Publishing Tools. Read more.

Sports Illustrated becomes the first renowned publication available on Samsung´s GALAXY Tab. Using WoodWing´s multi-platform Tablet Publishing Solution, Time Inc. addresses the needs of Android tablet users with this launch.
“For publishers, it is vital to be able to reach all tablet users, regardless of what device they use,” said Mitch Klaif, CIO of Time Inc. “We are able to efficiently produce our digital magazines for different tablet platforms. | Dutch publisher Weekbladpers boldly goes where no publisher has gone before |

Weekbladpers brought seven publications to the iPad in just a couple of weeks, making almost all of its titles available on the tablet. As one of the first publishers worldwide to do this, the team also took advantage of the Web-based conversion service "pdftotablet" for a number of its titles. Read the full story.
